CSC Athletes and Alum at Olympics: When to Tune In!
Your *almost* definitive guide to tuning into all of the action in Paris!
Carmel Swim Club,
We are less than 48 hours away from the 2024 Paris Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, and we don’t need to wait long after that to watch our swimmers make a splash! We wanted to ensure you were prepared to cheer on our CSC athletes and alum as they compete for Team USA.
Please note, we are continuing to work hard with the city of Carmel to confirm when they have secured the broadcast rights to show prelims and finals on the big screen in Midtown. Our goal is to connect as much and as frequently as possible as a larger Carmel Swim Club and SwimCity, USA community to cheer on our swimmers together. As soon as we have confirmation as to specific sessions that will be shown, we will send an update.
For now, here is your comprehensive, CSC-specific, 2024 Olympics viewing guide:
There is a six-hour time difference between Carmel and Paris. Prelims will start daily at 5 AM locally, and will be shown live on the USA network. If you sleep through that fun, have no fear… WTHR will be showing prelims on a tape delay at both 7:30 and 10:30 AM. Finals begin here at 2:30 PM and will be shown live on WTHR (note, these are the sessions we are highlighting for watch party potential on Midtown Plaza!), and shown again on a delay in primetime on WTHR at 8 PM.
